Our Custom Item Policy

We strive to give you the best quality items, custom designed for you. We want you to be delighted by the item you chose. When you request a custom piece we will send you a concept design form to fill out that will have measurements for the item (if needed), the color(s) you want, the finish you'd like, and any additional information we might need or that you might want to give us. If you require heraldry work done, please send a picture (color, if possible) as well as the written blazon.

Custom Leather Items

By their nature, custom items involve more time to create. For this reason we require a non-refundable 50% deposit of the item price, to be paid before work will start on your project. When the project is finished we will e-mail a photo of the finished project and an invoice for the remainder of the price plus shipping. We will ONLY refund if we made the mistake. For example, if you sent in a neck measurement of 18" for a gorget and we made it 17" we will refund the price or re-make the gorget. If you send us the wrong measurements (you wanted 18" but sent us a measurement of 17") you will not be refunded. Please take the time to get your measurements correct! Also, custom tooling, dying and painting on the leather pieces (armor, quivers, pouches, belts, headbands, etc) is subject to the same rules. Please be CLEAR about what you want.

Custom Wooden Items

For example, if you asked for an oak stain on your trunk and we stained it ebony, we will refund the price or re-make the trunk. If you send us a request for an ebony trunk but what you really wanted was oak, then you will not be refunded. On the subject of stains...if you have a particular color in mind, please tell us the brand AND the stain number. A cherry stain from one company can be totally different from another company. Also, stains will look different on various woods. PLEASE take this into consideration when deciding on a stain color. For a small fee we can send a sample of the color of the stain on the wood you choose if this is something you need.
